Apparition at Pontevedra, Spain (December 10, 1925)
Seer: Sister Lucia dos Santos, one of the original visionaries from Fatima.
Event: The Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to Lucia, accompanied by the Child Jesus.
Message: Mary revealed her Immaculate Heart surrounded by thorns, symbolizing the pain caused by humanity’s ingratitude and blasphemies.
She requested the Five First Saturdays Devotion in the following form ;
- Confession (within eight days)
- Reception of Holy Communion
- Pray five decades of the Rosary
- 15 minutes of meditation on the mysteries of the Rosary
- All with the intention of making reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
We make reparation for:
- Blasphemies against the Immaculate Conception
- Against Her Virginity
- Against the Divine Maternity, refusing, at the same time to receive Her as Mother of humanity
- Those who seek to implant in the hearts of children indifference, disrespect and even hate for the Immaculate Mother
- Those who revile Her directly in Her sacred images
